Why I Created This Blog

Nepal indeed is the land of great poets. Adi Kavi, Maha Kavi, Kavi Shiromani, Rashtra Kavi etc.., these are not just the titles, but these are the honors given to them for their contributions they've made in the Nepali literature, especially poetry. Many of their compositions are periodically published in school textbooks. Many others are published in the form of volumes and are easily available in the market. Some might have been lost too, or some are yet to be published. Among all the poetry, Laxmi Prasad Devkota's Muna Madan, Bhanubhakta Acharya's Ramayana, Madhav Prasad Ghimire's national song (Gauchha Geeta Nepali), Lekhnath Paudyal's Naitik Drishtanta, Pinjada Ko Suga, etc. etc. are the most famous and are known atleast by some member in every home of Nepal. Although every poet were the greatest in their era, only few have been admired by most till this age.

But however, even living in the 21st century, we can hardly find any those Nepali compositions (of great poets) in the internet. So, with the thought of helping those seekers and making these compositions available to every corners of Nepal (and abroad), I started creating this blog. I am fully sure that it is impossible for me to include all poems (or even half or some portion of it). Therefore, I have planned to include only those poems which give some moral lessons (or which I think should have been published in school text-books) so that the reader can learn something from it and implement those teachings in his life.

I have taken references of different internet articles and books for writing the poem. And for the meaning, it's my own translation as per my understanding. But however, I have taken references of Google, dictionaries and my seniors for additional help.

This blog is created from personal side, and therefore, there may exist mistakes. Suggestions are highly welcomed. I will try my best to produce correct words. I may provide less, but I will provide beautiful.
